Harley Eugene Yates, age 83 of Shepherd, Texas, passed away Sunday, October 1, 2017. He was born April 27, 1934 in Trinity, Texas to parents Harley and Clara Yates who preceded him in death along with

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Joyce Yates; daughter, Barbara Howes and husband Bill; sons, David Yates and wife Michelle, Randy Yates and wife Rhonda, Harley Yates and wife Mary; sister, Bonnie Seabourne; brothers, Jack and Jerry Yates; 13 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; family friend and caregiver, Gayle Monahan, and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at Pace Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Services will be held at
10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 5, 2017 at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Interment will follow at Farley Chapel Cemetery, Shepherd, Texas.
