Gwendolyn O. Malone

Gwendolyn O. Malone, age 96, peacefully passed away Thursday, September 19, 2013. She was born to parents Peter and Dewey Dolezal in El Paso, Texas on September 12, 1917 where she resided for 85 years. She was chief operator at the Mountain States Telephone Company for 46 years and a member of the Pioneers Club. She attended Cross Roads Baptist Church. She lived her last eleven years in The Woodlands, Texas. Gwendolyn was blessed with grace, beauty, and strength. She felt her greatest accomplishment in life was her family. She is forever rejoined with the love of her life and husband William P. Malone. She is preceded in death by both parents; brothers Freddie Dolezal, Paul Dolezal, Lawrence Dolezal; and her sister Lillie Lewis. She was a devoted mother to her son Patrick L. Malone Sr. and wife Roxanne; loving grandmother to grandson Patrick L. Malone Jr. and wife Angela; granddaughter Kellie Malone; great-grandson Foster Malone; great-granddaughter Caroline Malone; numerous nieces, nephews and other cherished family members and faithful friends throughout the years. Rev. Carl Williamson will preside over funeral services being held Monday, September 23, 2013, 2:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Visitation will be held one hour before service time starting at 1:00 p.m. Pallbearers include Eugene Wright, Jim Arnold, Patrick Malone Jr., Gary Johnson, Glen Toler Jr., and Foster Malone; honorary pallbearer Dan Toler.
