Guy Wesley Simon, Jr., 57, of Baytown, died Friday, May 1, 2015, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 6, 2015, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Anahuac Cemetery in Anahuac. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Guy was born July 3, 1957 in Anahuac, to parents; Guy Wesley, Sr. and Barbara Ann Mitchum Simon, a former resident of Anahuac, and has resided in Baytown for the past 40 years. He was a graduate of the Ross S. Sterling High School and retired foreman from Gulf Coast Erectors. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and barbecues. Mr. Simon was preceded in death by his daughter: Tabbatha Simon-Chaplain, sister: Kay Morris, brother: Lester Simon, father-in-law: Albert Berna, and grandparents: N.C. and Doris Simon and Minnie and Norman Mitchum. He is survived by his wife of 30 years: Dawn M. Berna Simon of Baytown, daughters: Tiffanie Johnson of Dayton, Samantha Meier and husband Chris of Baytown, Heather Cooper and husband Will of Seabrook, and Megan Simon of Baytown, parents: Guy W., Sr. and Barbara Mitchum Simon of Anahuac, sister: Marie Middleton and husband Kent of Alvin, brother: T. C. Simon of Anahuac, eleven grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
