Services for Mrs. Murphy will be 12 noon, Saturday, April 16, 2011 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel in Dayton. Interment will follow at Camp Ruby Cemetery in Livingston. Visitation will be 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Friday, April 15, 2011 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Dayton. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James Murphy, infant son, daughters, Lounelle Rascoe and Alice Cleveland, and grandson, Donnie James Strawn. She is survived by daughters: Mary Ann Ward and husband Robert of Baytown, Shirley Ulkie of Dayton, Linda Remsing and husband William of Dayton, Janice O’Neil and husband Colin of Conroe,  Patsy O’Neil and husband Warren Dale of Hardin, Loretta Bell of Hardin, Debra Sue Strawn of Cleveland, and Kathy Laverne Brandon of Alvin; son: James Edward Murphy and wife Mary Carolyn of Huntsville; brother: Elmer Lloyd Abshier of Magnolia; 30 grandchildren, 75 great grandchildren, 16 great great-grandchildren; numerous other relatives and friends.
