Glenn Edward Sumrall, Sr. 67, of Dayton passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2018. He was born September 21, 1950 in Lake Charles, Louisiana to parent Glenn Adolph Sumrall and Kathleen Elaine Barber Sumrall.
Services for Glenn will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lamar Shane officiating. Interment will follow at Palms Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday evening at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers will be James Germany, Matthew Germany, Mark Sumrall, Quinten Anderson, Isiah Gee, and Jeff Koenig. Honorary pallbearer will be Sean Gee.
Glenn had been a resident of Dayton for the past 15 years. He was previously of Channelview. Glenn was a member of the Northshore Masonic Lodge. He always supported his children by coaching their little league teams and being very active in the Channelview Little League. Glenn enjoyed woodworking, sharing toys he made for children, and always knowing just when to be there with a new handmade wooden treat.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Marie Sumrall and son Jamie Everett Sumrall. He is survived by his sweetness, Natalie Brown, sons, Glenn Sumrall, Jr.; daughters, Krystal Koenig and husband Jeff and Lydia Gee and husband Sean; eleven grandchildren, one great-grandchild on the way; several brothers and sisters; also numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
