Glenn David Askew, 49, of Huffman passed away Sunday, January 12, 2020 at home surrounded by his family. Glenn was born on December 28, 1970 in Great Lakes, Illinois to parents Norris Askew, Jr. and Helen Askew.
He had been a resident of Huffman for the past 28 years after moving from Hardin and Liberty. He graduated from Liberty High School in 1989. He served in the United States Army and was a member the American Legion. Glenn worked for E.R. Carpenter as a Lab Technician and became ordained so that he could perform the wedding ceremony of his niece. He enjoyed watching sports and fishing. He most of all loved his family and always participated in their activities.
Glenn was preceded in death by his father, Norris Askew, Jr. He is survived by his wife of 28 years Tammy Brown Askew; his mother, Helen Roach and husband Robert; his stepmother, Donna Askew; his daughters, Brittany Baker and husband Jason and Marissa Askew; his grandchildren, Waylon and Weston Baker; sisters, Christina Askew, Robin DeVille, Pam Diaz, Barbie Michalsky, Crystal Michalsky, Angela Keith and husband Scott; brothers-in-law, Travis Brown and wife Aimee; brothers, Trampus Michalsky, and Greg Roach and wife Heather; also numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A Memorial Service for Glenn will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday afternoon, January 19, 2020 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel in Dayton with Pastor Shannon Bowdin officiating.
