Glenda Carol Middleton, 65, of Liberty, passed away Friday, December 1, 2017 in Kingwood. She was born August 25, 1952 in Liberty to her late parents, A. B. Middleton and Verna Mae Ruth Wilson Middleton.
Glenda was a lifelong resident of Liberty, member of Day Spring Church, retired teacher from the Cleveland School District and Correctional Officer at the Hightower Unit in Dayton. Her favorite times were those that were spent with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Gail Middleton Delay.
Survivors include her sisters, Edwina "Winnie" Jacks of Vidor and Evelyn “Kitty” Baker of Salado; nephew, Greg Jacks; nieces, Rev. Karen Tyler and Krista Jacks. Also left to cherish her memory are those who called her “Nana”, Shree Miles, Casey Rodriguez, Kadi Simmons, Cindy Holy and Ryland, Ava, Kyle and Eli.
A memorial visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Thursday, December 7, 2017 followed by a memorial service at 6:00 p.m., at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Services will be officiated by Rev. Andy Glenn and Rev. Karen Tyler.
