Glenda Lanette Henry, age 78 and a resident of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2013. She was born on the 4th of July in Montalba, Texas to parents Melvin Jesse and Cilla Mae Vannoy who preceded her in death along with her husband Leonard Lee Henry Jr.; one brother and one sister. Mrs. Henry was a very patriotic person and loved her country; she put in many years of service at the Veterans Administration office in Cleveland. She enjoyed working in her yard, flowers and gardening. She was a devoted mother, loving grandmother and steadfast friend; she was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Survivors include her son Leonard Lee Henry III and wife Phyllis; daughters Jessica Lynn Peebles, Judy Lieberman Wood and husband Donald; brother George Washington Vannoy; sister Pauline Hargrave; granddaughter Michelle Leann Connor and husband Thomas; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other cherished family members and treasured friends. A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 25, 2013, 1:30 p.m. at Ryan Cemetery, Cleveland, Texas.
