Glenda Sue Kinser, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2024, at the age of 77. Born on April 29, 1947, in Ralls, Texas, to Eugene and Avola Daniels Cooper, Glenda led a life full of love, service, and cherished memories.
Glenda's journey of love began when she met her future husband, Lyndol Kinser, while working as a carhop at Ray’s Rocket Diner in Muleshoe, Texas. Their romance blossomed into a beautiful marriage that lasted 55 years until Lyndol’s passing in 2019. Together, they created a legacy of faith, family, and love.
A devoted member of the Simmons Bottom Assembly of God in Kenefick, Texas, Glenda served as a pastor’s wife for 17 of her 23 years in the congregation. In recent years, she found spiritual fellowship at Peace Tabernacle Assembly of God in Cleveland, Texas. She was deeply committed to her church community, where she loved singing, playing drums, and sharing her kindness and talents. Glenda’s warmth extended into her hobbies, from sewing and crocheting to people-watching and preparing her famous pecan pie, no-stir peach cobbler, and “Glendaladas.”
Over her 77 years, Glenda demonstrated remarkable dedication and skill in a varity of roles. She worked as a cotton ginner at the Olton, Texas Cotton Gin, a pipe threader operator and secretary at Erie Manufacturing, a dispatcher at the Cleveland Police Department, and an insurance accountant at Eckerd Drugs. Later, she became an accountant and handled payroll for Performance Truck, leaving a legacy of professionalism and care throughout her diverse career.
Glenda is survived by her loving children: son Jimmy Kinser and wife Julie; and daughters Sherree Hodges and husband Mitchell, and Kristal Alldredge and husband Juan. She was a proud grandmother to her grandchildren Chad Beeson, Jason Beeson, Christopher Hopkins, Taylor Hopkins, Justin Kinser, Andrew Alldredge, Noah Alldredge, Jocelyn Furguson, and Sementa Swank, and a cherished great-grandmother to nineteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Gary Cooper, as well as numerous other relatives and dear friends.
She is reunited in Heaven with her husband of 55 years, Lyndol Kinser. Her parents, Eugene and Avola Daniels Cooper; brother Kenneth Cooper, and her sisters, Janice Cooper and Sherria Crouch also preceded her in death. Her beloved dogs, Joey and Sammy, will miss her dearly, as will all those who were fortunate enough to know her.
Glenda Sue Kinser’s life was a testament to love, faith, and service. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, devotion, and cherished memories. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
