Glen Duncan Yarbrough

Glen Duncan Yarbrough, Sr., 80 of Huffman died Wednesday, July 6, 2011 in Conroe.   He was born March 26, 1931 in Splendora to parents Walter Lee and Mattie Thornton Yarbrough.  Mr. Yarbrough had lived in Huffman since 1967 and was retired as a heavy equipment operator.  He was a true outdoorsman, loving to hunt and fish especially with his family.  He also had a great passion for horses.  A gathering of friends and family will be 9 a.m. until 12 noon on Saturday, July 9, 2011 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel in Dayton.   Mr. Yarbrough was preceded in death by his parents.  He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Barbara Yarbrough of Huffman; his sons:  Duncan Yarbrough and wife Tanya of Huffman, Dennis Yarbrough and wife Sammie of Huffman, Daniel Yarbrough and wife Brenda of Huffman, and Robert Yarbrough and wife Amy of  Kingwood; his daughters: Kathryn Caudill of Huffman; Glenda Logsdon and husband Steve Logsdon of Huffman; 20 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren;  his sisters:  Ethyl Jeffcoat, Jean Chappell and husband Dick; his brothers:  Earl Yarbrough and wife Zettie and Johnny Duke and wife Judy; 8 nephews and 4 nieces; also numerous other family members and friends.
