Gladys Virtie Guynes

Gladys Virtie Lee Guynes, age 93, of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2012. She was born February 17, 1919 to parents Joe and Myrtie Hathorn who preceded her in death along with her loving husband Claude Guynes; her son Earl C. Guynes; grandsons Roger Guynes and Stoney Guynes; her great-granddaughter Jenna Nicholson; and three brothers Bill Hathorn, Herman Hathorn and Wilmer Hathorn.
Survivors include her two sons Joe Guynes and wife Sue, Hirshell Guynes; six grandchildren Randy, Theresa, Lisa, Renee, Cheryle, and Karen; twelve great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other cherished family members and faithful friends throughout the years.
Visitation will be held Thursday, July 26, 2012, 6:00-9:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Bro. Douglas Hollie will preside over funeral services being held Friday, July 27, 2012, 10:00 a.m. at Pace-Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas with interment following at Cleveland Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers include Jason Tanner, Jared Bobo, Roger Guynes, Michael Guynes, Cody Nicholson, Caleb Nicholson, Walker Hart, and Jance Guynes; honorary pallbearers include Colton Pope and Brandon Tottingham.
