Gertrude Thane Adams

Gertrude Thane Adams, age 90 of Splendora, Texas, passed away Monday, May 9, 2016. She was born January 27, 1926 in Navasota, Texas to parents Louise and William Thane who preceded her in death along with her husband, Bill Adams; sisters, Maida Lee Hansing and Alma Chenault and husband Billy Lloyd; and brother, Sonny Forsthoff.

Survivors include her daughter, Sandy Contreras and husband Charlie; son, Larry Adams and wife Peggy; grandchildren, Jeff Contreras and wife Victoria, Troy Contreras and wife Kristin, Scott Contreras, Wesley Deaton and Sean Deaton; great-grandchildren, Micah Contreras, Betsy Contreras, Makayla Contreras, Lola Contreras and Osby Contreras; numerous nieces, nephews and many other family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, May 12, 2016 at Pace Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 13, 2016 at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 12:30 p.m., Friday, May 13, 2016 at Brookside Cemetery, Houston, Texas.
