Miss. Geraldine (Gerri) Milstid, daughter of the late Jesse Courtney Barrow and Ruby Dee Lucas Barrow was born January 6, 1939 at home in Splendora Texas. Gerri came from a large family of 4 sisters and 3 brothers. Charlene, Norma Dee, Vernon, Geraldine, Leonard, Mary, Ray & Carolyn. She grew up in Splendora and eventually attended Splendora High School where she graduated in 1958. Gerri was a leader in her class throughout high school. She served as the Vice President of the F.H.A., as the Treasurer of her class in her junior year and as Sentinel her senior year. Gerri was very popular, she played basketball with the girls’ basketball team, was voted as the Football sweetheart, and was a majorette. Gerri was a beautiful woman and even won a swimsuit contest in Cleveland. She worked in the hospitality industry for most of her life. Gerri worked as a waitress and hostess and received awards of excellence for her service. Gerri was a loving and devoted mother to her son Todd Michael Barrow who she lovingly called Michael. She adored her grandchildren Cameron & Lauren & great grandson Liam Barrow. She loved her brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews and often reminisced and spoke fondly of them. She loved taking care of and spoiling the two family dogs every day, Buck & Hunter. Gerri you will be forever in our hearts and dearly missed.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 11, 2019 at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas.
