George Wesley Hanks, II, 19, of Baytown, Texas died September 28, 2019. George was born May 18, 2000 in Baytown, Texas to parents, George Wesley Hanks and Mary Jane Martin.

Service for George will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 3, 2019 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Interment will follow at Concord Cemetery in Rye, Texas. The family will receive friends 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening, October 2, 2019 at Pace-Stancil. Serving as pallbearers will be Wesley Hanks, Mike “Uncle Mike” Graves, Terry Preston, Pat Nichols, James Barker, Daniel Manier, Kade Nichols, and Shaun Sliva. Honorary pallbearers are Matt Thomasson and Caleb Plunkett.

George grew up in Baytown and Dayton most of his life. He graduated from Sterling High School in 2018. George was a wonderful brother that maintained a strong relationship with each and every one of his siblings. George was a very laid back comical, intelligent kid. He was an AVID football fan along with many other sports. He loved the Dallas Cowboys his whole life. He enjoyed endless hours of his football and x-box games. He was always able to bring a smile to anyone anytime with his smart comments.

George was preceded in death by his grandparents, Caren and George Thomas Hanks, and Jim Martin; aunt, Jody Johnston; his uncle, Richard Hanks, and aunt, Mitzi Johnson. He is survived by his father, Wesley Hanks and wife Jennifer of Dayton; his mother, Mary Jane Martin Preston and husband Terry of Baytown; son, William Anthony; brother, Daniel Manier of Galveston; sister, Shalayne Hanks of Dayton; Haley Felchak of Colorado; and Paigelyn Hanks of Seabrook; step-siblings, Haylee Chisholm, Carlee Hutson, Terry Preston,II, Allen Preston, Magen Preston and Jason Preston; niece, Ophelia; nephew, Matson; numerous other family members and friends.
