George L. Park, Jr.

George L. Park, Jr., 75, of Conroe, died Sunday, June 17, 2012, at his residence in Conroe. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 20, 2012, at the Northside Baptist Church in Conroe with burial following at the Farley Chapel Cemetery in Shepherd. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Cleveland. George was born January 3, 1937 in Conroe, to parents; George L., Sr. and Vivian Womack Park, and was a retired brick mason. Mr. Park was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife: Brenda Park of Conroe, sons: Lt. David Park and wife Evelyn of Conroe, Larry Edward Park and wife Kayla of Coldspring, and Jason Abbott and wife Kristy of Houston, daughter: Jennifer Rowland and husband Ben of Elkhart, sister: Marie McCoy of Riverside, grandchildren: Jason and Jeremy Park, Ashley, Emily, and Chloe Abbott, Sarah and Rachel Rowland, and Cody Park, great-grandchildren: Bentley Abbott Height and Kalynn Park, special caregiver and family friend: Gladys Mitchell, special friends: the J.D. Roberts Family, the Buddy Payne Family, Northside Baptist Church Family, and his numerous hunting and fishing buddies, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to the Heart to Heart Hospice nurses and caregivers for their kindness and compassion they gave to the family thru this long valley walk. Their love and care was a blessing and comfort.
