George Eugene Mellott

George Eugene Mellott, age 78 of Splendora, Texas, passed away Thursday, June 11, 2015. He was born April 17,1937 in Orbisonia, Pennsylvania to parents Leon Mellott and Emma Ziegler. He is preceded in death along with his mother, Emma Ziegler Runk; step –father, Andrew Runk; sister, Shirley Mae Mellott; wife, Rosemary McTaggart; mother-in-law, Helen McTaggart Carter; brother, Jimmy Mellott; aunt, Evelyn Ziegler; grandson, Raymond Mellott, Jr; and father-in-law, William McTaggart. Survivors include his daughter, Shirley Mae Mellott Hudnott; sons, Christopher George Mellott, Raymond Alexander Mellott and William Charles Mellott; brother, Billy Mellott; grandchildren, Michelle Giambelluca, David Mellott, Daniel Mellott, Rachel Mellott, Angelina Edmonds, Katrina Mellott, Daniel Barber (Mellott), Alex Hudnott, William Mellott II, and Matthew Mellott; great-grandchildren, Alexis Edmonds, Bubba Edmonds, and Daimin Edmonds; son-in-law, Gary Hudnott, daughter-in-laws, Veronica Mellott, Sandra Mellott, and Tammy Barber. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 18, 2015 at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Collin Stebbins will preside over funeral services held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 18, 2015 at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas.
