Geneva Hattie Hanel Parick, 83, of Dayton, Texas passed away March 12, 2018 in Liberty, Texas. Geneva was born November 7, 1934 in Cameron, Texas to parents, John Stanley Hanel and Freida Zalesky Hanel.
The family will receive friends 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Dayton. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 16, 2018 at St. Anne’s Mission Catholic Church in Eastgate. Interment will follow at Eastgate Catholic Cemetery.
Mrs. Parick was a lifelong resident of the Eastgate and Dayton area. She was a member of the St. Annes Catholic Church in Eastgate, the Crosby American Legion, and the Catholic Daughters in Crosby. Geneva had worked for the Crosby State Bank, Crosby ISD, United Gas, and Sterling Funeral Home.
Geneva was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Ike Parick. She is survived by her brothers, Johnny P. Hanel, Sr. and Boe of Dayton and Leroy Hanel and Maria of Dayton; nieces and nephews, Rhonda and Donny Hearod, Johnny, Jr. and Sharon Hanel, Brian and Angie Hanel, Carla and Allen Cotton, Mark and Lisa Hanel, and Seba and Jamie Owens; also numerous other family members and friends.
