Gene Lamar Crye

Gene Lamar Crye Sr., age 72, of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Tuesday, January 08, 2013 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. He was born October 21, 1940 in Cherry Hill, Arkansas to parents George T. and Nona Mayhue Crye who preceded him in death along with his daughter Shelley Crye; his granddaughter Rylee Crye; and his brother-in-law Tom Brashier. Survivors include his son Buba Crye and wife Randi; sister Betty Brashier; brother George Crye and wife Louise; grandchildren Jared and Hunter Crye; nephew Randy Brashier and wife Judy; great-nieces Stacie Utsey and husband Kevin, and Jill Frost and husband Luke, and their families; and friends beyond measure. Visitation will be held Friday, January 11, 2013, 5:00-9:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Pastor Nick Vann will preside over funeral services being held Saturday, January 12, 2013, 2:30 p.m. at Oak Shade Baptist Church, Cleveland, Texas with interment at Ryan Cemetery. Pallbearers include Rick Alpha, Randy Brashier, Jared Crye, Joshua Parkman, and Hunter Crye.
