Obituary
Gena Carol Allen Claxton, 54, of Cleveland, died Friday, October 17, 2014, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 22, 2014, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Concord Cemetery in Rye. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Cleveland.
Gena was born December 26, 1959, in Colorado Springs, Colorado to parents; Douglas Tryant Allen and Lynda Lee Freeman, a former resident of Pasadena, and has resided in Cleveland for the past three years. She was a cosmetologist by trade and member of the Cornerstone Church. She enjoyed her work and especially spending time with her grandchildren.
Mrs. Claxton was preceded in death by her father: Douglas Tryant Allen and mother: Lynda Lee Freeman Townsend. She is survived by her sons: Richard Travis Claxton, Jr. of Pasadena and Nathan Daniel Claxton and wife Kaitlynd Constance of San Antonio, brothers: Randy Allen and wife Brenda of Dayton and Douglas Allen of Dayton, sisters: Vanessa Picazo and husband Juan of Cleveland and Nicole Langford and husband Lance of LaPorte, grandchildren: Presleigh Nevaeh Claxton, Payton Mercy Claxton, and Halo Renee Claxton, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
