Gary C. “G-Pa” Maryea, 73, of Dayton, died Wednesday, January 12, 2011, at the Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 16, 2011, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Gary was born September 12, 1937 in Staten Island, NY, to parents; Mose J. and Adeline L. Lussier Maryea, a former resident of Houston, and has resided in the Dayton area for the past eight years. He was a graduate of the Nott Terrace High School class of 1954 and the University of Maryland, a veteran of the US Air Force, a retired truck driver, and a former private investigator. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, baking, and known for his G & L BBQ sauce. Mr. Maryea was preceded in death by his parents, son: Todd Maryea, six brothers, and two sisters. He is survived by his wife of 20 years: Brenda Fedorchik-Maryea of Dayton, son: Robert “Bobby” Joseph Maryea of Clearlake, daughters: Lady Rosemarris Joan Maryea-Chanie of England, Charmain Marguerite Maryea of Canada, Teresa Kay Maryea Witt and husband Reggie of Texas City, Donna S. Maryea Gray and husband Paul of Montgomery Carol L. Bailey and husband Charles of College Station, and, stepson: Tim Greene and wife Jackie of Dayton, stepdaughter: Tammie Greene of Houston, sister: Carlita Milano of NY, grandchildren: Krystle Ann Gayhart, Sabrina Luisa Ramirez-St. Romain, Joshua Jake Jesson, Lindel Joan Furbear, Thomasin Despins, Trista Kay Dedmon, Jason Kennedy, Tamela D. Kennedy-Kimsey, Ginni Oldner, James Bailey, Benjamin Bailey, Timothy Bailey, Dee Dee, Cynthia, and Jason “Littleman”,  numerous grandchildren, adopted grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
