Fredrick Richard Lewis, 91, of Livingston, passed away Saturday, February 6, 2016, at the CHI St. Lukes Hospital in Livingston.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 11, 2016, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Cedar Crest Cemetery in Baytown. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.
Fredrick was born July 4, 1924 in Dubach, Louisiana, to parents; William B. and Bertha Liggin Lewis, a former resident of Goodrich, and has resided in Livingston for the past 20 years. He serviced in the US Army during WW II and was a retired truck driver from Chemical Leaman Tank Lines. He held memberships in Schwab City Baptist Church, the Teamsters, and VFW Post #8568. He also enjoyed working crossword puzzles and reading.
Mr. Lewis was preceded in death by his parents, son: Richard C. Lewis, mother of his children: Nelroy Johnson Lewis, and all of his siblings. He is survived by his wife of 18 years: Oletta McElroy Lewis of Livingston, daughter: Cynthia Cindy Burns and husband Roger of Crosby, stepdaughter: Brandy Peres and husband Victor of LaPorte, stepsons: Carl Johnson and wife Tammy of Liberty, Tim Johnson of Liberty, and Tony Johnson and wife Pamela of Missouri, grandchildren: Anna Hawkins and husband Chris, Julie Burns, and Charlie Lewis, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
