Frederick Henry Thomas

Frederick Henry Thomas, age 81, a resident of Coldspring, Texas for over 20 years, passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2012 in The Woodlands, Texas. He was born April 26, 1931 in Des Moines, Iowa to parents Frederick Kurtz Thomas and Georgeann Sanders Thomas who preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife Peggy Thomas; his daughters Jean Barnes, Jacqueline McDonald; son Fred Thomas Jr.; step-daughters Mickey Friedrichs, Pamela Brannan and Teresa Peterson; nineteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and other cherished family members and treasured friends. Pastor David Green presided over funeral services held Saturday, June 02, 2012, 2:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Chapel, Coldspring, Texas. Pallbearers included Vernon Fields, Alfonzo Roberts, Ken Vinson, Jonathan McDonald, Billy McDonald, and Daniel Huron. In lieu of flowers, the family requested contributions go to “The Joy Ride Horse Center or charity of your choice in his memory.
