Freddie Johnson

Freddie Jo Johnson “Jo Jo”, age 81, of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Thursday, December 16, 2010. She was born in Cleveland on August 18, 1929 to Thomas F. and Myrtle Purswell who preceded her in death along with her loving husband, Winston C. Johnson; step-father, Floren Thompson; sister, Velma Matthews and husband, Lloyd; and her niece and nephew, D’Rinda Kelley and Mike Matthews. Survivors include her daughter, LuJean Daniel and husband, David Daniel; grandchildren, Winston Daniel (age 21), Matthew Daniel (age 18); sister, Jean Carter and husband, Robert Carter of Cleveland, Texas; brother, A.J. Purswell and wife, Wanda Purswell of Mena, Arkansas; nephews and nieces, Charles Sweet, Clyde Sweet, Floyd Carter, Bobby Carter, Debra Carter Cunningham, Sharon Shaver, Terri Coleman, Janet Lamp, and Judy Hajek; numerous other loving and caring family members and treasured friends throughout the years. Visitation will be held Sunday, December 19, 2010, 5:00-9:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Bro. C.D. Davis will preside over funeral services being held Monday, December 20, 2010, 10:00 a.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel, Cleveland, Texas with interment at Brookside Memorial Park Cemetery, Houston, Texas. Pallbearers include Clyde Sweet, Charles Sweet, Alex Peck, Jarret Peck, Bert Collier, and E.W. Whitten.
