Franklin Clay Shane

Franklin Clay Shane, beloved resident of Liberty, Texas, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2024, at the age of 72. Born on July 21, 1951, in the very town he called home throughout his life, Clay leaves behind a legacy of warmth, simplicity, and cherished memories.

Clay's affinity for the color blue was well-known among those who knew him best, reflecting perhaps his own calm and tranquil demeanor. He found joy in the rumble of Harley motorcycles, relishing the freedom of the open road. Yet, amidst his love for adventure, he also found contentment in the simpler pleasures of life, often spending leisurely hours watching television or basking in the serenity of his front porch.

In his passing, Clay reunites with his beloved parents, Benjamin and Lillie Woodral Shane, as well as his siblings, Jack Benny Shane, Donnie Lee Shane, Beatrice Shane Rushing, and William Green Shane, who have gone before him.

Clay's memory lives on in the hearts of his dear caregivers and friends, Diane Russell and Kristie Millican, whose unwavering support and companionship enriched his life immeasurably. He held a special place in his heart for Chloe Alridge and Rhemi Alridge, two cherished sweet girls who brought him endless joy and companionship. Also, a special thanks to the “Big Guys” who were always there to help, Glen Millican and Nathan Rudderow.
