Frankie Daves-Simmons, 90, of Dayton, Texas, passed away Sunday, January 6, 2019, at her home.
Graveside services for Mrs. Simmons will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 8, 2019, at Evergreen Cemetery in Dobbin, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Dayton, Texas.
Mrs. Simmons was born October 10, 1928, in Cedar Bayou, Texas to parents John and Loyce Clemens. She was a charter member of Old River Assembly of God Church. She loved reading her Bible, enjoyed bird watching, traveling and the outdoors. Frankie lived her lifetime in the Old River and Dayton area.
Mrs. Simmons was preceded in death by her parents and her husbands, Rev. John Daves and Major James Simmons; son, John Grady Daves and sister, Jerry Tillman. She is survived by daughter, Deborah Frazier and husband, Bruce; step- daughters, Debbie Griffin and husband, John and Jamie Garfield and husband, Saul; grandchildren, Ashlee Williams and husband, Aaron, Garrett Frazier and wife Hannah and Heather Frazier; great-grandchildren, Kaden Frazier, Isla Frazier, Navy Williams; several step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren; sister, Jonell Buckels and husband, Arthur; numerous nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends
