Frances Taber Paré, 90, of Dayton passed away Friday, May 24, 2013 at home in Dayton. She was born July 8, 1922 in Baytown, Texas to parents Ernest and Idalene Martin Taber, was a lifelong resident of Dayton where she graduated from Dayton High School in 1940 and St. Joseph Hospital of Nursing. Frances served as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Army as a nurse during World War II. She also worked as a nurse at Dayton Memorial Hospital and a school nurse for Dayton Elementary. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Dayton, the Joy Club, and the Lakata Club. Frances enjoyed all her activities at the church, ceramics, sewing and traveling. Services for Mrs. Paré will be Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at the First Baptist Church, Dayton with Rev. Dale Hill officiating. Interment to follow at Magnolia Park Cemetery under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Dayton. The family will receive friends 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday evening at the funeral home. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 67 years E. J. “Frenchie†Paré, Sr., her sister Mildred Driskell, and her brothers Jack and Ernest Taber. She is survived by her sons: E.J. “Jimmy†Paré, Jr. and wife Cyndy of Liberty and Ronnie L. Paré and wife Pamela of Dayton; her grandchildren: Andrew J. Paré, Emily A.
