Frances Ophelia Vines

Frances Ophelia Vines born, July 26, 1923 in Silsbee Texas, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 17, 2010 following a brief illness. She was 87 years old. Frances is preceded in death by her parents Lilly and Frank Ashworth, her sister Virginia Ashworth, her first husband Henry Galvan and second husband Eldon Vines, and daughter-in-law Kay Galvan. She leaves behind her son Dennis Galvan, Kathy Hall, grandson Gary, granddaughters Leah and Kayse, nephews Carl and Ron, nieces Cheryl, Shelly, Carla and Gina along with numerous great grandchildren, grandnieces and
grandnephews. She also leaves behind many wonderful friends. Frances had recently become a member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Clear Lake, where she enjoyed attending services every Sunday. She spoke often of the people she met there and their kindness to her. Frances loved her family, her friends and the Lord. She loved life and lived it to her fullest capability. She never let bad times keep her down for long and was always ready to share in a good time or a good laugh. She maintained her strength
through faith and the knowledge that she was loved by so many. Her beautiful presence will be missed.
Visitation for Frances will be held at Pace Stancil Funeral Home in Cleveland, Texas on Saturday, November 20, beginning at 1:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m.
The pallbearers include Dennis Galvan, Gary Galvan, Carl Boysen, Wes Monteith, Michael Boyd and Bobby Buisson.
