Frances Miriam Scott

Frances Miriam Hodo Scott, 92, of Dayton passed away Saturday, September 14, 2019 in Liberty. Mrs. Scott was born May 11, 1927 in Augusta, Georgia to parents William Clinton Hodo and Norene Readon Hodo.

Graveside services for Mrs. Scott will be at 12 noon, Monday, September 23, 2019 at Magnolia Park Cemetery in Dayton.

Mrs. Scott had lived in Dayton for the past 22 years after moving from Chattanooga, Tennessee where she was a successful real estate broker. At 55 years of age Miriam received her nursing license. She worked in Tennessee, Georgia and Baytown. She was Baptist by faith. She enjoyed gardening, sewing children’s clothes and was an avid animal lover.

Mrs. Scott was preceded in death by her parents, her husband William Marion Scott, daughter Laura Sheble and grandson Michael Sheble. She is survived by her children, Linda Linkinhoker and husband Gary, Miriam Karen Scott, Felice Miller and husband James and Martha Mayo; 28 grand and great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
