Frances McKinley Gibson Pena, 56, of Dayton, died August 1, 2013 at home surrounded by her family. She was born July 12, 1957 in Shreveport, Louisiana to parents James Bedford and Anita Elizabeth Boney Gibson. Services for Frances will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 6, 2013, at Pace-Stancil Chapel Dayton, Pastor Mike Hill will officiate. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, August 5, 2013 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Frances was a teachers’ aide at alternative school. She enjoyed gardening and loved animals especially Dalmatians, which she raised to show and use as therapy dogs. Frances was a member of the Baytown Kennel Club. She also enjoyed sewing, dancing and was a terrific mama. She was a member of God’s Word Action church. These are Frances personal thoughts on marriage, “It is Gods’ will in every marriage that the couple each other with an absorbing spiritual, emotional and physical attraction that continues to throughout their lifetime together. This is possible because this is Gods’ will.†Mrs. Pena was preceded in death by her father: James Bedford Gibson and her daughter: Dena Michelle Everett. She is survived by her husband: Eugene Bernardo Pena of Dayton; mother: Anita Elizabeth Boney Gibson of Shreveport, La.; daughters: Melissa Folsom & Claire Folsom of Dayton and Deedee Coley and husband, Carlan of West Monroe, La., son: Jimmy Folsom of Mauriceville; sister: Joanne Olita of Shreveport, La.; brothers David Gibson & Larry Gibson of Plano, TX. and James Gibson, III and wife, Ann of Houston, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
