Florence Gambill

Florence Lee Gambill, age 78 passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2017. She was born November 29, 1938 in Liberty County, Texas to parents Calvin Preston, Sr. and Evelyn Jewel Giles who preceded her in death along with her husband, Floyd William Gambill; and brothers, Calvin Giles, Jr. and Windell Giles.

Survivors include her son, Eddie Gambill and wife Brenda; daughters, Donna Abajian and husband Mike, and Cindy Selke and husband Bruce; brother, Lawrence Wayne Giles and wife Gloria; sisters, Pearl Kotrla and husband Eugene, and Dorothy Tompkins and husband Eddie; sister-in-law, Jeanette Giles; grandchildren, Debbie Martin and husband Noel, Bruce LaVallee, Kenny Selke and wife Nikki and Scout Selke; great-grandchildren, Nora Martin, Polly Martin and Cayden Selke; step-grandchildren, Jackie White and husband Kevin, and Collins McQuinn; step-great-grandchildren, Joshua White and James White; numerous nieces and nephews.

Florence was a former resident of Huffman, Texas for thirty-nine years. She also retired from the Harris County Sheriff’s Department. Florence along with her husband Floyd Gambill owned and operated
F & F Tire and Inspection Station in Huffman for 30 years.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Friday, September 1, 2017 at Pace Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas.
