Flo Akin

Flossie Joan Akin was born January 27, 1936 in Quemado, New Mexico to parents, Pasqual Chavez and Maggie Cardoza Chavez. She went to her Heavenly Home on January 15, 2025 in Cleveland, Texas at the age of 88 years. Flo was a longtime resident of Cleveland, Texas and she and her husband, Shorty owned Akin's Auto Service. They both were strong contributors to the Cleveland community. 

Flo was preceded in death by her parents, Pasqual and Maggie Chavez; husband, Norris Wayne "Shorty" Akin; son, Wayne Tracy Akin. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Deborah Burleson; grandchildren, Rachel Nicole Howshall, and Dalton Lee Cloud; great-grandchild, Draxton Thomas Gwaltney; sister, Genevie Rodriguez; nephew, Anthony Rodriguez. Once cremation is completed she will placed next to her beloved husband, Shorty and with her beloved son at Pace-Stancil Memorial Rest Gardens in Cleveland, Texas.
