Fernando “Freddy” Munoz, 65, of Dayton passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, in Webster, Texas. Freddy was born September 24, 1956, in Robstown, Texas to parents Domingo and Amalia Sanchez Munoz.

Freddy was a lifelong resident of Dayton where he attended Dayton schools and was a member of the class of 1976. He had worked for MEI Munoz Enterprises for over 30 years as a supervisor and in the last few years he was a big help to Rhonda at the Vineyard. He had formerly attended Calvary Baptist and Old River Baptist Churches. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Houston and also a member of Shriners. Freddy was a true Dallas Cowboys fan. He loved his family, especially the grandchildren. He will always be remembered for his big heart, his willingness to help anyone, his big smile and his love he had for his special fur baby, Libby.

Freddy was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Lupe Long; his sister-in-law, Rebecca Munoz and his nephew, Daniel Munoz. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 27 years, Rhonda Carraway Munoz; children, Freddy Munoz and wife Lee Ann, Eric Munoz and husband Levi, Cari Munoz, Shane Williams, Veronica Munoz, and Sarah Blanchard and husband Ricky; grandchildren, Cameron Munoz, Hayden Munoz, Elijah Williams, Gavin Williams, Izabella Munoz, Jasmine Ledbetter, Trevor Ledbetter, Carter Blanchard and Rafe Blanchard; brothers and sisters, Artemio Munoz and wife Olga, Hector Munoz, Raymond Munoz and wife Anita, Filemon Munoz and wife Tonya, Maria Gregg and husband Carl, Oralia “YaYa” Salinas and husband Homero; Elda Trevizo and husband Mercedes, Lucy Trevizo and husband Victor, and Sara Trevizo and husband Noel; also numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and a host of friends.

Services for Fernando will be 3:00 p.m., Sunday, March 20, 2022, at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Interment will follow at Magnolia Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1:00 p.m. until service time at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
