Fannie Emerline Carlton Joiner, 74, of Dayton passed away Saturday, May 3, 2019 at her daughter’s home in Van Vleck. She was born November 16, 1944 in Dayton, Texas to parents, James Lee Cress and Fannie Lee Wade Cress.
Graveside service for Mrs. Joiner will be 3:00 p.m., Thursday, May 9, 2019 at Reeves Cemetery in Old River with Rev. Mike Blackburn officiating. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.
Serving Mrs. Joiner as pallbearers will be Jerry W. Brown, Billy Ray Vrana, John Brandon Vrana, Curtis Ray Brown, Jeffery Wayne Brown, Kevin Lee Brown, Joe Luis Rodriguez, Jr., Adam Lee Rodriguez, Evan Lee Rodriguez and Joe L. Rodriguez, Sr. Honorary pallbearers will be Earnest Ener, James Ener, Kenny Vrana, Billy Vrana, G.W. Kornegay, and Jack Stewart.
Fannie had been a lifelong resident of the Dayton area. She was Momma and Daddy to all her children. She was a member of the Old School Banditos, and enjoyed fishing, Yahtzee, and playing cards. She was a truck driver and was the best shade tree mechanic around.
Fannie was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Tammy Kay Brown and great-grandchild Kateri Rodriguez.
She is survived by two sisters; one brother; son, Jerry W. “Bubba” Brown and wife Anita; daughters, Charlene “TitTit” Vrana and Dottie Rodriguez and husband Joe “Son”; ten grandchildren, Leatha Scott, Sharry Vrana, Billy Ray Vrana, John Brandon Vrana and wife Rebeca, Curtis Brown and wife Kasey, Jeffery Brown, Kevin Brown, Joe Luis Rodriguez, Jr., Adam Lee Rodriguez and wife Kimberlee, Evan Lee Rodriguez and wife Lauren; twenty great- grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren; numerous other relatives and friends.
