Evelyn Louise Onderka Moreau, 96, of Dayton passed away Thursday, January 31, 2019 in Liberty. She was born September 17, 1922 in Taylor, Texas to parents J.P. Onderka and Mary Lou Zak Onderka.
Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, February 8, 2019 at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church with interment to follow at Magnolia Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday evening at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. A rosary will be at 7:00 p.m. during visitation.
Evelyn was a longtime resident of Dayton after moving from Rowena. She and her husband L.C. married in 1955. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Altar Guild at St. Joseph and the Priscilla Club. She had worked at Western Union and First City National Bank in Houston.
Mrs. Moreau was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband L.C. Moreau. She is survived by her daughter, Charise Harris and husband Chuck, her son, Perry Moreau, her daughter, Celise Stephenson and husband Coleman, six grandchildren, Kelan Holloway, Jessica Harris and fiancé Doug Lormand, Chad Harris and wife Julia, Julie Franke and husband Will, Rachel Harper and husband Justin, and Leo Stephenson, four great-grandchildren, Kalyn Holloway, J.D. Holloway, Benjamin Harper, and Evelyn Harris; her cousin, Irene Feist, godchild, Sandi Fuchs, and numerous loving relatives and friends.
