Evelyn Annie Kovalcik Petters, 83, of Eastgate, passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2016, in Conroe.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., with rosary services at 7 p.m., Monday, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 20, 2016, at the St. Anne’s Mission Catholic Church in Eastgate. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.
Evelyn was born December 19, 1932 in Eastgate, to parents; Adolph Kovalcik and Stephie Dlouhy, a former resident of Crosby, and has resided in Eastgate for the past 42 years. She was a member of St. Anne Mission Catholic Church. She also enjoyed puzzles, fishing, gardening, quilting, shopping, and making kolaches.
Mrs. Petters was preceded in death by her husband: Jimmy G. Petters, grandson: Devin Anderson, father: Adolph Kovalcik, and mother: Stephie Dlouhy Skarpa. She is survived by her sons: Vincent Petters and wife Donna of Eastgate and Jeffrey Petters and wife Deleta of Crosby, daughter: Katrina McNeely and husband David of Kingwood, brother: Felix Skarpa and wife Marie of Dayton, sisters: Stephie Kolek and husband Charles of Eastgate, Albina Ubnoskye of Eastgate, Annie Mae Marek and husband Frank of Spring, Martha Pollock and husband Edward of Eastgate, and Doris Stark of Eastgate, grandchildren: Paul Petters and fiancé Taylor Webb, Sarah Petters, Brice Petters, Savannah Petters, and Eric McNeely, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
