Eugene "Gene" Antone Stachowiak

Eugene A. “Gene” Stachowiak passed away on October 6, 2016. He was born in Bremond, Texas on December 7, 1926. Gene was an only child and a very devoted son to his parents, Anton and Victoria Stachowiak who preceded him in death. He was a practicing and devout Catholic his entire life. Gene attended St. Joseph’s Elementary School, graduated from St. Thomas High School in 1945, served and was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy. He then attended the University of Houston School of Technology and received a Certificate of Completion. Gene was employed for 33 years by Southwestern Bell Telephone Company (AT&T). Even though Gene was a very private man, he truly cared for his family.

Mr. Stachowiak is survived by his aunt Eleanor Nailor and numerous cousins.

Visitation for Gene will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 4918 Cochran, Houston, Texas. Holy Mass to follow at 10:30 a.m. with burial to follow at Forest Park Cemetery, 6900 Lawndale, Houston, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Dayton, Texas.

In lieu of customary remembrances, memorials may be made to St. Patrick’s Church or the charity of your choice.
