Ethel Louise Jeffcoat

Ethel Louise Jeffcoat, age 83, of Splendora, Texas, passed away Friday, August 10, 2012. She was born in Splendora on August 30, 1928 to parents Walter Lee Yarbrough and Matty Marie Thornton who preceded her in death along with her husband W.C. Jeffcoat; brother Glenn D. Yarbrough; and her grandson Walter Lee Jeffcoat. Mrs. Jeffcoat went to school at Splendora High School; she retired from Shepard Furniture; had a passion for church, reading, and traveling. She loved cooking, especially chicken & dumpling for the grandkids and fried pies for her sons. She was a lady with charm and her family and friends will miss her.Survivors include her daughter Lynda Gayle Jeffcoat Rodriguez; sons Ronald Lee Jeffcoat and wife Tootsie, Michael C. Jeffcoat and wife Darrlene; sister Jean Chappell and husband Dick; brothers Earl Lee Yarbrough and wife Zettie, sister-in-law Barbara Yarbrough; brother Johnny D. Duke and wife Judy; grandchildren Kristi, Tracy, Dodie, Wesley, Rusty, and Gregg; great-grandchildren Cody, C.J., Trey, Kakki, Jordan, Kayley, Rylee, Tyler, Rustin, and Hadley; one great-great-grandchild Kacie; numerous nieces, nephews and other cherished family members and treasured friends.Visitation will be held Sunday, August 12, 2012, 5:00-9:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 13, 2012, 10:00 a.m. at Pace-Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas with interment following at Splendora City Cemetery, Splendora, Texas. Pallbearers include Tracy Jeffcoat, Duncan Yarbrough, Wesley Jeffcoat, Donnie Yarbrough, Rusty Jeffcoat, Daryl Duke, Gregg Jeffcoat, and Trey Weaver; honorary pallbearers include Dennis Yarbrough, Daniel Yarbrough, Robert Yarbrough, and Ben Yarbrough.
