Ester “Evyonne” Sackett Boyett, 78, of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, April 30, 2016, at the Regent Care Center in Kingwood.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 3, 2016, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Magnolia Park Cemetery in Dayton. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.
Evyonne was born June 27, 1937 in Saratoga, to parents; Woodie Ray and Lissie Jane Billingsley Sackett, a former resident of Dayton, and has been a resident of Cleveland for the past three years. She was a graduate and basketball player of Kountze High School class of 1956, co-owner of Boyett’s Auto, member of the First Assembly of God Church, and former member of the Dayton Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She also enjoyed fishing, bingo, cards, dominoes, and quilting.
Mrs. Boyett was preceded in death by her parents, husband: William E. “Bill” Boyett, brother: O. W. Sackett, sister: Loretha Laverne Young, and great-grandson: Tyler Bryce Schneiter. She is survived by her sons: James Franklin and partner Michael Duran of Cleveland and Terry Boyett and wife Renee of Dayton, daughter: Cindy Cream of Onalaska, brothers: Robert Sackett of Ames, Dennis Sackett and wife Sue of Quinlan, Jimmy Sackett and wife Terry of Dayton, Woodie Sackett of Dayton, and Ricky Sackett and wife Sammy of Liberty, sisters: Bennie Stowe of Dayton, and Linda Matthews and husband Charley of Dayton, grandchildren: Angela Boyett Murphy, Ashley Boyett, and Cris Cream, great-grandchildren: Taylar Schneiter and Andrew Murphy, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
