Elaine Tabers

Helen Elaine Todd Tabers, 63, of Liberty died Saturday, December 2, 2017 in Beaumont, Texas.

Services for Elaine will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 7, 2017 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel in Dayton. Interment will follow at Cooke Memorial Cemetery in Liberty. The family will receive friends 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.

Elaine was born March 2, 1954 in Princeton, Indiana to parents Gerald and Shirley Miller Todd. She was a longtime resident of Liberty and had worked throughout the years as a nurse. Elaine was loved dearly by all that knew her. She was devoted to her family and had a very strong relationship with the Lord.

Elaine was preceded in death by her husband Melvin A. “Mano” Tabers, her father Gerald Todd, brother Jimmy Todd, sisters Tammy Shriver and Betty Todd. She is survived by her mother, Shirley Todd of Liberty; son, Michael Tabers and wife Christy of Hull; daughter, Tonia Blanton of Liberty; brothers, Charles Todd and wife Jennifer of Hull, Mike Todd of Liberty, Steve Todd and wife Carol of Conroe; sisters, Becky Stanley of Mexia and Cindy Moreno and husband George of Alvin; sisters-in-law, Joyce Stevenson of Mexia, Virgie Arthur and husband James of Montgomery and Kay Heard of Mexia; fourteen grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
