Elaine Matthews Mazzola

Elaine Matthews Mazzola, 71, of Dayton, passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2016, at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Friday, April 15, 2016, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel, with services concluding thereafter. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.

Elaine was born April 25, 1944, in Livingston, to parents; Winfred and Doris Kerr Matthews, a former resident of Houston, and has resided in Dayton for the past 21 years. She was a graduate of the Northshore High School and a homemaker. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and all of their activities.

Mrs. Mazzola was preceded in death by her parents and son: Randy Matthews. She is survived by her husband of 44 years: Frank T. Mazzola of Dayton, son: Dean Mazzola and wife Kristy of Flower Mound, daughters: Gai-Lynn Mazzola Sudduth of Dayton and Timber Nettles and husband Mike of Livingston, brother: Wayne Matthews of Baytown, grandchildren: Michael Sudduth, Scotty Sudduth, Joey Mazzola, Christopher Mazzola, Lynette Matthews, Tonya Matthews Commiato, Craig Nettles and wife Kyla, Kevin Nettles, Derek Matthews, Ryan Matthews, Vincent Mazzola, Madelyn Mazzola, Nicholas Mazzola, and Nina Mazzola, great-grandchildren: Christiana Matthews, Keirra Crocker, Shaun Crocker, Caden Crocker, Seth Savage, and Alexandria Elaine Savage, great great-grandchild: Kade Nettles, and numerous other relatives, and friends.
