Edward L. “Pat†Patrick, 91, of Liberty passed away Saturday, March 16, 2013, at the Harbor Hospice facility in Beaumont. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 21, 2013, at the First Baptist Church in Liberty with burial following at Cooke Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, at the First Baptist Church, Liberty. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Pat was born October 1, 1921 in Peason, LA, to parents; George M. and Rehama Cornline Patrick, a former resident of Premont, and has resided in Liberty for the past 37 years. He was a veteran of the US Navy with service during WW II, a retired field mechanic from Sun Pipeline, and a Deacon of the First Baptist Church. He loved his family, was a volunteer for Helping Hands, S.O.S., and the church kitchen crew and also enjoyed wood working, church activities. Mr. Patrick was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years: Dorene L. Aldridge Patrick, his parents, four brothers, and two sisters. He is survived by his daughter: Debbie Beasley and husband Dennis of Liberty, son: Reginald Patrick and wife Linda of Liberty, grandchildren: Patrick Beasley and wife Tiffany, Troy Beasley, and James Patrick, great-grandchildren, Makayla Beasley and Kristen Beasley, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
