Edward Lee Hopson

Edward Lee Hopson, age 83, of Cleveland, Texas, passed away February 13, 2011. He was born July 5, 1927 in Lufkin, Texas to Roy Lee and Stella Hopson who preceded him in death along with his daughter, Teresa Hopson; brothers, Thomas Milton Hopson, Richard Hopson, Marion Hopson; and his sister, Emma Beasley.
He leaves his memories to his loving wife, Ruby E. Hopson; daughters, Janice Harcrow and husband, Larry; sons; Edward Hopson Jr. and wife, Kim, Harold Hopson and wife, Trudy; step-daughters, Sharon Hopson and husband, Kenneth, Ruby Jo Cockrell and husband, Larry; sister, Velma Kendrick; brothers, Herlon Hopson, Carl Hopson, Walter Hopson and wife, Cora Lee, Kenneth Hopson; seventeen grandchildren, thirty-nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews and other cherished family members and treasured friends.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 16, 2011, 5:00-9:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 17, 2011, 11:00 a.m. at Security Calvary Baptist Church,
5448 S. Duck Creek Rd., Cleveland (Security), Texas 77328. His final resting place will be at Morgan Cemetery. Pallbearers include Terry Harrison, Mike Harrison, Shannon Hopson, Robert Hopson, Kenneth Roy Hopson, Kevin Hendry, Larry Harcrow, Charles Holestein, and Jerry Owens.
