Edward “Ed†Schmuck, 69, of Dayton, died Tuesday, July 15, 2014, at the Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Baytown. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 19, 2014, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Magnolia Park Cemetery in Dayton. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Ed was born February 7, 1945 in Houston, to parents; Joseph E. and Tiny A. Flowers Schmuck, a former resident of Pasadena, and has resided in Dayton for the past 42 years. He was a graduate of the Pasadena High School class of 1964 and a retired operator from Equistar of LaPorte. He was a former member of the Dayton Volunteer Fire Department and building inspector for Southeast Savings. Mr. Schmuck also enjoyed carpentry, has built many houses, and will be remembered as a jack of all trades. Mr. Schmuck is survived by his wife of 50 years: Lucille Hearnsberger Schmuck of Dayton, daughters: Sharon Hebert and husband James of Louisiana and Connie Tenney and companion Calvin Gadberry of LaPorte, sons: Joseph Schmuck and wife Lynne of Dayton and Marcus Schmuck and wife Leslie of Baytown, sisters: Edna, Darline, and Sarah, brothers: Joe and Rusty, ten grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
