Edward Burton

Edward Glenn Burton, age 65 of Shepherd, Texas, passed away Saturday, August 29, 2015. He was born November 19, 1949 in Bryan, Texas to parents Bill and Alma Burton who preceded him in death along with his brother, Leonard Burton; and sister, Debbie Blanks. Mr. Burton graduated from Shepherd High School in 1968. He then married Jeannette on September 27, 1975. He enjoyed sports, mainly football. His favorite teams were the Pittsburgh Steelers, Houston Astros, Houston Rockets and the Texas Longhorns. Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Jeannette Burton; daughters, Susan Elledge and husband David George, and Ronda Williford and husband Bill; son, Erik Burton and wife Melissa; sisters, Barbara Bryan and Pam Donnan and husband Dickie; brother, “Shorty” Burton; grandchildren, Chris Baker, Shawn Loxterman, Ethan Burton, Hayden Burton, Kolton Burton, Kaleigh Burton, Payton Burton, Sarah Williford, Lucas George and Zach George; numerous other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Monday, August 31, 2015 at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Interment will follow at Farley Chapel, Shepherd, Texas. PACE-STANCIL FUNERAL HOME 303 E.
