Edna Mae Hill Monk, 62, of Dayton died Saturday, May 25, 2013 in Houston, Texas. She was born July 30, 1950 in Olive Hill, Kentucky to parents Ambie Ozie Hill and Colleen Tackett Hill. Edna was a longtime resident of Dayton, enjoyed gardening, tending her flowers, most of all she loved being with her family. Service for Mrs. Monk will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 31, 2013 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel in Dayton with interment to follow at Magnolia Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, May 30, 2013 at Pace-Stancil. Mrs. Monk was preceded in death by her parents, brothers James Hill and Russell Hill, sister Phyllis Williams, father-in-law J H Monk, and three nephews. She is survived by her husband: James Earl Monk; her daughters: Jeanette Wolfe and husband Danny of Bay City, Sandra Miller and husband Tommy of Angleton, and Penny Durant and husband Joseph of Dayton; her sons: David Henson and Jay Ice of Nebraska; ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; her mother-in-law: Fannie Monk; her sisters: Louise Hornick of Orlando, FL and Margaret Hill of Ohio.
