It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Edmundo Torres, a beloved husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, and friend, who left us peacefully on February 2, 2025 at the age of 58.
Edmundo was a man whose spirit lifted up every room he entered. Known as the life of the party, his laughter was infectious, his stories unforgettable, and his heart immeasurable.
He had a gift for making people feel seen, heard and loved, and he never missed an opportunity to bring joy to those around him. A proud and devoted family man, Edmundo cherished his role as a grandpa above all else. His grandchildren were the light of his life, and he was never happier than when surrounded by family, whether gathered around a campfire, cheering on his favorite teams, or simply sharing stories and laughs at home.
Edmundo had a deep love for the great outdoors. He found peace and purpose in fishing trips at dawn, camping underneath starry skies, and embracing nature's simple, quiet beauty. His passion for music was just as strong, whether singing along to his favorite tunes or playing his saxophone. A true sports enthusiast, he was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan and cheered proudly for the Houston Astros.
A hardworking man through and through, Edmundo believed in earning what he wanted in life. His dedication and strong work ethic were matched only by his generosity and kindness. He was selfless, and always putting others before himself, and his care for people knew no bounds. To know him was to know unwavering support, heartfelt advice, and a shoulder to lean on.
Edmundo is survived by his wife Enedelia Torres, His siblings Manuel La Fuente Torres, Paulita T Montez and husband Edward, Manuel Torres and wife Maria, and Roberto Torres and wife Alejandra; His children Victor and Krystal Blanco, Juan Torres, Edmundo Jr. and Abbie Torres, Karilyn and Ryan Hinojosa; His bonus children Justin Booth, Aaron Jenkins, Chance Kent, Leonard and Miranda Ancira, Alivia DiRuzza; His grandchildren Mariah, Noah, Jonah Blanco, Analia Torres, Mila Hinojosa, Riley Ancira. Also survived by his Nieces and Nephews on both sides of the family, all of whom will carry his memory in their hearts forever. He was preceded in his death by his father Manuel Torres, His mother Maria Concepcion C. Cardona, his older brother Gregorio Torres.
The viewing will be held at Pace-Stancil funeral home (1304 N Cleveland Dayton, TX 77535) February 14th, 2025 at 4-8pm. The service will be held the following day on February 15th, 2025 at 11am.
Friends and family are invited to join in honoring a man whose legacy of love, laughter and kindness that will never be forgotten.
Rest easy, Edmundo. Your heart was big enough to hold us all, and it always will be.
