Eddie Ray Elliott, 81, of Dayton, died Saturday, June 22, 2013, at the Liberty Healthcare Center in Liberty. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Palms Memorial Park in Dayton. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Eddie was born September 15, 1931 in Vann, to parents; Omer M. and Audrey N. Childress Elliott, a former resident of Houston, and has resided in Dayton for the past 46 years. He was a veteran of the US Air Force with service during Korea, a former employee of Brown and Root, retired owner and operator of Elliott Septic Services, and member of the American Legion. He enjoyed his work and bee keeping. Mr. Elliott was preceded in death by his parents: Omer M. and Audrey N. Childress Elliott. He is survived by his wife of 52 years: Phyllis Joy Robinson Elliott of Dayton, sons: Eddie C. Elliott and wife Lou Anne of Union Valley, Randy M. Jordan and wife Kim of AL, and William M. R. Elliott of Dayton, daughter: Liticia L. Daywitt and husband Stephen of China Spring, brother: Glenn Elliott and wife Lenora of Dallas, sisters: Viola Holloway and husband Johnny of NB and Nellie Davis of Austin, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of the Liberty Healthcare Center for the compassionate care to Eddie during residency at the facility.
