Earnest Gene Singletary

Earnest Gene Singletary went to be with his Lord peacefully January 04, 2013 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Bryan Texas after an eleven day illness. Earnest was born November 12, 1941 to parents Mitchell Thomas and Oliver Prince Singletary who preceded in death along with his brothers, J.W., Allen, and Willis Singletary; sister, Dorothy Singletary Penny; brother-in-Law, David Woodard. Survivors include his loving wife, Barbara Singletary; daughter, Alexandra Laerne Singletary Marcotte and Allen Marcotte; brothers, Pete and Lynn Prince; Sister, Brenda Woodland; sisters-in-Law, Betty Prince and Teckla Hirsch; grandchildren, Melissa Singletary, David Carr, Lane Marcotte, Hollie Marcotte, Chad Marcotte; Numerous nephews, nieces and other family members and friends. Earnest worked for over forty years as an electrician out of Local 716 and a member of First Baptist Church of Point Blank, Texas Visitation will be held Sunday, January 06, 2012, 5:00-9:00 p.m. at Pace Stancil Funeral Home, Coldspring, Texas. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 07, 2013, First Baptist Church, Point Blank, Texas.
