Earl Maurice Griffith

Earl Maurice Griffith, age 79, of Cleveland, Texas, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 2, 2011. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana. He is preceded in death by his mother, Anna Mae Griffith; father, George Griffith; daughter, Shelia Louis Griffith; grandson, William Stacey Griffith, brothers, Tom Griffith, Bernard Griffith, George Griffith Jr., Harry Griffith, Frankie Griffith; and sister, Louise Hallock. Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, Velma Griffith; daughters, Velma Smith and husband, Johnny, Anna Jackson and husband, Stanley, Elnoria Hicks; sons, James Stacey and wife, Brenda, Edward Griffith and wife, Marty, Donald Griffith and wife, Debbie; brother, Delbert Griffith; 23 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and other cherished family members and treasured friends. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 3, 2011, 5:00-9:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Funeral service will be held Friday, March 4, 2011, 3:30 p.m., Pace-Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas with interment at Pace-Stancil Memorial Rest Gardens.
