Dustin Zane Esmond, 26, of Dayton, passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2023 in Athens, Texas. He was born July 19, 1996 in Baytown to parents, Debra Paige Robinson and Dwight Esmond.
Dustin was a member of First Baptist Church in Dayton and a graduate of Dayton High School’s class of 2014. While at DHS he was a member of the Dayton Bronco football team, the National Honor Society and was in the top 5% of his class. Dustin was an avid outdoorsman. His favorite hobbies were lifting weights and bass fishing.
Upon high school graduation, he immediately moved to Tyler, Texas, attending the University of Texas at Tyler, to pursue a medical degree. He attained his bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from UT Tyler. He recently moved to Athens, Texas to complete an internship at the Argon Research facility as he continued to work toward his medical school acceptance.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Wilmer and Sandra Paige; aunt, Kimberly Lynn Paige and cousin, Colten Paige.
Survivors include his parents, Debra Paige Robinson and her husband, Erwin Gibson and Dwight Esmond; grandparents, Jerry and Lela Esmond; sister, Adrienne Wray and her husband, Worth; nephew, Wyatt Wray and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 13, 2023 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. A memorial service will begin following the visitation, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Randy Piatt officiating.
